Chapter one

London · Opening soon

A new chapter for padelOpening soon in London

A padel court with chairs and tables set out on the grass beside it.

Padel reached Europe in 1974 and has been part of ordinary life in Spain ever since. London is only now catching up. Padel Playa is our answer: courts made in Spain, a club built around them, and somewhere worth sitting when the ninety minutes are up.

The club, not just the court

Come for the game.
Stay for the community.

A close match is a fine thing. So is knowing the people on the other side of the net.

We’re building a club where both matter. Led by Andrew and George Criticos, Padel Playa brings Spanish-made courts and a proper club spirit to London.

Four players shaking hands over the net at the end of a match.

Easy to pick up.
Hard to put down.

The smaller racket. The longer rally.

01 / THE GAME

Four players. One good idea.

Padel is played in doubles on a court enclosed by glass and mesh. Think tennis, with a little help from the walls.

02 / THE GAME

Less learning. More playing.

An underarm serve, a compact racket and rallies that last. It is an easy game to get into, with plenty to keep you coming back.

03 / THE GAME

Ninety minutes, well spent.

Time to find your rhythm, get a proper game in and enjoy the last point as much as the first. No rushing you off at sixty.

What to expect

What to expect.

A club built around coaching and good company, from the first session you ever play to the one you are training for.

  1. An outdoor padel court in daylight: glass at the back, mesh above.

    Best in class facilities

Courts made in Spain: three metres of glass at the back, mesh above, and a surface that gives you the same bounce every time.

  2. A player waiting to serve, seen through the mesh of the court wall.

    Industry leading coaches

Coaching from people who play the game properly and can teach it, whether it is your first week or your fifth year.

  3. A player reaching up to serve, lit against a dark court.

1 to 1 private coaching sessions

One to one, on your own court, at your own pace. Grip, serve, the wall, the volley, in that order.

  4. A row of players sitting courtside with their rackets, waiting to go on.

    Team coaching sessions

Four players, one coach, ninety minutes. Grouped by level rather than by whoever turned up, so every court is competitive.

  5. A player moving to the ball on a blue court.

    Padel taster days

Ninety minutes, a coach and a racket, for people who have never held one. Nothing to bring but trainers.

  6. A player with the racket raised after winning the point.

Padel Playa AcademyTrain to compete professionally

A proper pathway in levelled blocks that run in terms, from your first session to your first tournament.
